Overview

About the project

Our scope included construction of the Train Maintenance Facility (TMF) carpark and structural slabs and foundations, including the fire tank slab and HV substation slab, and placement of the TMF carpark subbase.

Our team was commended for completing the first half of the carpark ahead of schedule, in four weeks against a five-week program. This allowed multiple stakeholders to access and use the TMF carpark immediately.

Lower-carbon materials

Sustainable materials were used throughout the carpark and structural works, including concrete mixes with 50%+ supplementary cementitious materials (SCM) in all pours and recycled concrete in pavement layers. High recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) content was used in the asphalt layers. Together, these measures lowered the project's carbon footprint and reduced waste and raw material use.
