Overview

About the project

The West Gate Tunnel Project provides an alternative to the West Gate Bridge, addressing traffic, growth and liveability challenges across Melbourne's west.

Our team has been a key civil works contractor on the project since late 2018, contributing across multiple packages. Construction began in 2018, and the tunnel opened to traffic in December 2025.

Effective collaboration and resource management

Close collaboration with delivery teams has been central to our work. Regular communication with site crews and management means we understand the requirements of upcoming critical works, such as road and rail occupations, and can resource them properly. Careful programming and planning have allowed us to consistently meet project deadlines.
